Self-Published Startup Book Lands Global Distribution Deal
How a tech entrepreneur's self-published book gained global bookstore distribution and press coverage after a full publishing and branding package.
The Challenge
Anonymous Author (NDA Protected) had written a complete manuscript about startup growth but his original self-published version had a poor cover, inconsistent formatting, and zero marketing. Sales had stalled at under 50 copies.
Our Solution
We performed a full developmental edit and copyedit, redesigned the cover to compete with traditionally published titles in the startup genre, reformatted the interior for both print and Kindle, and set up IngramSpark distribution for global bookstore access. We then ran a targeted relaunch campaign.
The Outcome
Confidential Title (NDA Protected) sold over 4,200 copies in its first 90 days after relaunch. It became available in bookstores across 12 countries through IngramSpark and received press coverage in two industry publications.
The difference between my original version and what Reader Reach produced was night and day. My book finally looks and reads like it belongs on a shelf next to the big publishers.
